There is nothing more gratifying than owning an impressive home theatre system. The booming speakers. The magnificent picture quality of the gigantic television in the center. Even the comfy couch adds to the ambience of the room. The cost is worth it for those that know how to do it right.

So how does one go about getting the most bang for their buck?

The current options are daunting.

Flat screen. Plasma. LCD. DLP. What do all these things mean? Lots!

Let’s start with the oldest. When projection televisions first came out years ago they were looked at as the next big thing. They offered a larger viewing screen than was possible with the traditional tube television. They range in size from 42” to 65” and beyond. Using three different colored tubes, red, blue and green, rear projection TV’s can provide a startling amount of clarity. But the quality of picture can vary depending on seating arrangement. This is seen as a great detractor to projection TV’s.

Another difficulty lies in the tremendous bulk with these TV’s. They are the least advanced of the current TV’s although they now come in a microdisplay variety. For a fraction of the cost of the other newer technologies, a consumer can get a quality set with the purchase of a projection screen TV. For those on a budget, this is the best choice for a big screen.

Speaking of those other, more advanced televisions, let’s look at plasmas and LCD screens. When plasmas first hit the market they were priced at very high rates, some going for over $15,000 MSRP. Times have changed but the prices for these TV’s are still at the higher end of cost. A plasma screen is actually a network of tiny individual pixel cells infused by a rare gas mixture. Because of this incredible technology, plasmas are considered by many enthusiasts as the clearest picture around. However, their prohibited cost and a potential “burn-in” problem may cause concern for some buyers. But these TV’s are truly phenomenal for the avid purchaser being sleek and thin, normally 4” in thickness. They range from 40” to 70” in size.

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. The technical definition is transmissive technology uses a light engine to stream high-intensity white light onto the screen. The more layman’s reference would be like the display on the majority of laptop computers. LCD screens are amazingly bright, the best to view in dark lighting conditions. This brightness can come at a price, however, when certain images suffer from blurriness. They range from 10” up to 37” in diagonal length. Just like the plasmas, they are light enough to be mounted on any wall.

Another option you will have is whether to go with the 4:3 aspect ratio or the more popular 16:9 or “wide” screen format. In other words, the 4:3 aspect ratio is more like a traditional TV, whereas the wide aspect ratio is gaining tremendous popularity. This is the size of the screen that you see in a movie theatre. The movies you rent at BlockBuster or your favorite video store show in this wide format by default and look significantly better in a wide format TV than trying to “squeeze” the DVD onto the older 4:3 aspect ratio screen.

In this day and age there are many choices in home theatre systems. Weigh the pros and cons of each. If the room is large and seating good for all viewers, perhaps projection is the way to go, although you still need to consider the viewing angle. If the space is limited, go with the flat screen variety. The bottom line is to not let price be the single and only deciding factor to determine what is best for you.

Apparently 13DailyPro was a huge victim of piggy backing on 12By12Daily, and now there is an even more scummy element rearing it’s ugly head on ASA scammer forums. Apparently 15HitsDaily owner Bob Krimm had posted a futile attempt to take over 13DailyPro in a point blank effort to lure people from the two big failed programs into his own trio of programs. We’ve never seen anything as shady as Bob’s efforts since Johnathan Mikula and NME exploited the 12DailyPro thread back in early March to promote their failed program PhoenixSurf.

The master thief on the scene of online business is Dave Cannard - he scammed people twice - in DadnDaves autosurf then in 12By12Daily.

Following on from my earlier post about monitoring CPC revenue, this post explains how you can increase your earnings at CPC affiliate networks.

As I mentioned before the revenue your site generates is determined by a number of different factors:

The average CPC value of the ads
The effectiveness of the ads targeting towards your content
The amount of traffic your site receives AND
Your click-through ratio.

By increasing any of the above (or ideally all) you can make a huge difference in the amount you are earning.

The site, which is written to an extremely poor standard of English, leading me to believe the American information in the WHOIS is fake, offers a 'free signup', but to get anything out of the program you have to upgrade to a Silver membership for $3.70 (USD).

To earn you then have to drag your friends and anyone else naive enough to believe the yarns this site weaves into the scheme. Members are paid $1 for referring a new member to the project from their link, and they also earn $0.20 for an additional 13 referral levels (levels 2-14). The $1 million figure which is the main claim of the site is reached by suggesting that after you have referred 3 people, each member in your downline will referr 3 members and so on and so forth, leaving you with $1,434,892.80 on level 14, (the first level which would earn you $1M supposing everyone recruits 3 more people into the scam). However to do this you will need a whopping 7,174,452 members in your downline, yes you read that right - over 7 Million people will need to be in your downline.

That just ain't going to happen, so when this site claims you can 'easily earn $1,000,000' they are lying out of their backside.

Take my advice, steer clear - this is just another pyramid scheme where the man at the top takes money from investors and is laughing all the way to the bank.

You really shouldn't be paying more than $8 a go for a .com fully inclusive of domain and mail forwarding. If you purchase your domains from the same company which you host with they will make sure everything fits together for you, however this may not be the cheapest option.

In short, do your research - the first site you find may not be the cheapest.

How is it a scam? Simply put, you are supposed to get paid to surf. Surfjunky.com however does not and will never pay you. So to reach their minimum $25 payout, you need to surf for 55.5 hours. You work for almost 56 hours and get paid nothing. If this is not a scam I don’t know what is.How do you know it is a scam? Well first off the mathematics behind the site are simply impossible.

The site charges advertisers using the following pay schedule:

* 100,000 Visitors - $29.95 250,000 Visitors - $59.95 500,000 Visitors - $99.95
* 1,000,000 Visitors - $189.95

Let’s just start with the minimum amount of 100,000 visits for about $30.00. So that means an advertiser is paying approximately $0.0003 per visit... right? ($30/100 000)

Now a member of surfjunky.com gets paid $0.45 per hour of surfing. The member can surf a maximum of 120 pages per hour (Each page must be viewed for 30 seconds, no multiple windows are allowed. So that is 2 pages per minute, 60 minutes per hour, which equals 120 visits per hour MAX)

Are you still following? Good!

Now go back to our advertising rate of $0.0003 per visit. Multiply this by 120 visits. That means that for 120 visits to his/her website a webmaster is paying ONLY $0.036.

So the advertiser is paying $0.036, or just under four cents, for every 120 visitors to his/her website. However, surfjunky.com is suppose to be paying its members $0.45, or 45 cents, per 120 pages visited.

That means either,

1) surfjunky.com is the worst business in the world and is planning on taking a loss $0.414 or 1250% for every hour a visitor surfs

or

2) surfjunky.com is a scam site that never intends on paying its users.

To further amplify this loss consider this. Once a user reaches the minimum $25 payout, surfjunky.com has only made $1.99 from that user (they make $0.036 per hour times 55.5 hours to reach payout of $25). So surfjunky.com is actually taking a loss of $23.01 per payout.

So with a loss of $23 per user. Multiplied by approximately 500,000 registered users at last count, surfjunky.com will be recording a loss of $11,500,000 once members reach payout.

Now I don’t want to seem to be over exaggerating because it hurts my credibility. So let’s assume only 1 in 10... no 1 in 100... no wait 1 in 1000 users actually make it to payout without cheating, getting bored and stopping, etc. The company will still be taking a loss of $15,000 each payout cycle. That is a loss of $15,000 EACH and EVERY month!

So even if surfjunky.com fully intends on paying all users, and does not want to be a scam, the fact of the matter is paying them is impossible! It just won’t happen! They will go bankrupt before 1 payout is made

The Rich Jerk from TheRichJerk.com claims he is here "not ... to make friends. [But] to show you EXACTLY how I make millions." He makes no secret of the fact he is rich, he shows proof of his earnings and tells us about his extravagant lifestyle. He also does not attempt to hide the fact that he is a Jerk. Throughout his website he comes across as arrogant and insulting, and appears to have an I'm-rich-therefore-I-must-be-right capitalist mentality.

Arrh - but is the Rich Jerk different? The 'Rich Jerk' generated a ton of discussion when it first came online, with people trying to un-cover the truth behind the story - was it just another over-hyped and out rightly rude sales pitch to get you to part with your hard earned cash in the hope of making it big?

Well of course it was, that's what sales is all about - but behind the hard outer shell I have yet to find someone who has bought the book and doesn't think it was worth their while, (or course the skeptic here says they are just after their clickbank referral commission).

The identity of the Jerk was since been revealed as one Kelly Felix and he is in fact, as he claims on TheRichJerk.com a successful Internet marketer in his own right.

The Rich Jerk's book has been criticised by some as it promotes unethical methods, such as what is commonly known by website marketers as 'cloaking'. Put it simple terms this means a website is programmed so that the pages search engine spiders see when they index a site are different from the end view a surfer will get when they visit the site.

But then, they did say you never get rich if you play by the rules.

From what I've read online and from discussions I have had with others, it seems that TheRichJerk's eBook is not for beginners, you need to be confident and need to be able to follow the instructions by the word in some of the more specific tutorials.

The best thing to do is to judge the jerk for yourself. Of course, as with all opportunities there is risk involved, if you do nothing you'll get nothing out - but if you can invest the time and effort like thousands of others have then this is an opportunity you cannot miss out on.

Despite a message on the official GoldCoders website (http://www.goldcoders.com/) which states that the only legal versions of their scripts can be brought directly at their site people are still buying pirated versions.

For example a legal copy of Goldcoders HYIP Manager Pro 2 from http://www.goldcoders.com/ costs $145.00, however it is not hard to find sites offering the same software for $5. These scripts are, as GoldCoders state on their website, illegal pirated versions of older goldcoders scripts which contain many bugs and may have 'back doors' enabling hackers easy access.

However the online HYIP world is driven by greed, crime and corruption so many scammers will purchase these unlicensed scripts and set up fake HYIPs to steel money from those foolish enough to invest in them.

Despite new anti-spam laws introduced in Europe and North America over the past few years, spam continues to be as prevalent as ever.

It is simply too easy for someone to set up a spam server and simple send off thousands upon thousands of e-mail messages a minute.

It is not just our email inboxes which are being clogged up by this unwanted junk. Blogs and message boards are also full of the stuff.

The reason I ditched nucleus as my blogging software on a site of mine was due to blog spamming. My experience: 5000 hits per hour? It will be great if i will get 10% of promised visitors:) I tested trial version from Softpedia. System is a little chaotic but real problem is advertising database:) some of pages simply dont exist, some need paid membership, others are simply FFA farms.

Result: not 100%, not 10%, not even 1% of promised effect.

My personal opinion: if you buy this SW, you risk you will lose your money, you will lose your time, you will ruin your page rank, you will ruin your reputation.

Tip1: if you are serious - hire experienced SEO freelancer or try PPC networks (Google Adwords, Overture, ABC Search...)

Tip2: reviews with affiliate link are not good reference source

Investment fraud Investment fraud is an offer using false or fraudulent claims to solicit investments.

Tip: Search for reference, do not spend what you cannot afford to lose.

Foreign lottery fraud:

Many foreign lottery scammers take your money and don’t even buy the tickets. Some scammers will tell you you’ve won and try to charge you a fee to collect nonexistent winnings.

Tip: Do not play foreign lottery. It’s illegal in USA and many other countries. Do not pay in advance for your winnings:)

Phishing fraud:

PhishingScammer steal your bank, ecurrency acount, password, security number data. Email / popup message usualy says that you need to validate or update your account info.

Many HYIPs who claim to be trading, investing, etc are really only running a ponzi scheme. Some have also compared the US Social Security system to a ponzi scheme.

Trust me, i know what you feel when you open your inbox and see tons of spam messages flooding the page. Unfortunately most of antispam filter programs are useless. We keep on seeing over the internet all day long antispam 2005 , antispam outlook, barracuda antispam and much more commercial advertising messages... Some people even change their email address because of the huge number of spam they receive.
I've actually did it twice so far. In this article i will tell you how you can reduce the spam messages to more than 70%. You just need to follow these instructions for few days and you will be doing just fine.

Use a surfing email address:
Whenever you register to a forum or mailing list never use your personal email address. Create another email for this purpose so if you get flooded with spam your personal email won't be clogged.

Create many emails for many purposes:
You can create many emails each one of them can be used for something. You can create an email for personal use only by friends, family which is never used to request information or discussion forums... another might be used just for internet surfing and registrations purchasing.

Remove your email address from your website:
If you list or link to your email address, you can expect to be spammed. Address-harvesting robots will spider your site and extract them. So remove them wherever possible and use web-based forms instead. This will drastically cut down the amount of spam you receive if you have a website.

NEVER buy anything from a company that spams:
If you contact them to ask for more information you're encouraging them to continue spamming.

Filter your emails and block the spammers:
It will certainly take you some time to find it but you it's worth it once you apply the above and filter your email you will no longer receive spams and if you do it will be much less than you used to get.

Don't reply to spammers:
Many online antispam organizations encourage their supporters to reply to the spammer by saying that people are not bots or something like that. But in fact this will be helping the spammer to know that the message was received and read.
